San Salvador, El Salvador, March 10, 2015 - On March 11 the city of San Salvador will host the V Salvadoran Youth Dialogue. This activity has been framed within the preparatory process of the IV Young Americas Forum. The hemispheric event will bring together young people from 18 to 30 years old as part of the VII Summit of the Americas.
On this occasion, the discussion will focus on two thematic axes, Citizen Participation and Security. These topics are part of the eight thematic axes defined by the VII Summit of the Americas.
The V Salvadoran Youth Dialogue is driven by the ASAE organization, with the cooperation of the Young Americas Business Trust (YABT) in its capacity as Technical Secretariat of the Forum and with important hemispheric support from the World Bank as well as support from national public and private entities, including international organizations.
The results of the dialogue will contribute to the definition of actions involving Salvadoran Youth in building agendas for development that have an impact, solving problems that the country faces, allowing them to raise their voices as Social Actors in the Summit of the Americas.
The Young Americas Forum is a program that has been developed for over a decade by the Young Americas Business Trust (YABT), where youth in their capacity as Social Actors actively participate in the processes of the Summits of the Americas.
ASAE is a private non-governmental organization, nonpartisan and a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to promote sustainable development among youth in the service of democratic principles and values as a strategy for improving the quality of collective life.
