Mr. Jean Ricot - Dormeus, OAS Representative in Guyana shared a very inspiring story with the participants "Thousands of young people dream of setting up their own business, not only for profit generation, but also to respond to a call for self accomplishment. This story may enlighten their quest. A young man asked an old wise man what he should do to become wise. The old man showed great enthusiasm to help and invited his protégé to the beach to provide the answer. As they were deep enough in the water, the wise man held firm the head of the young man under the surface. At some point, as he felt he was going to drown, the protégé fiercely fought to free himself from the grip of the old man and breathe.
Under the shock after the experience, the protégé said "you wanted to kill me or what?" The wise man answered, when you were under the water, what did you desire the most? To breathe of course, retorted the protégé. And the old man concluded: when you desire wisdom as much as you desired to breathe, it will come to you."
He also told the participants, "when you desire your own business and success as much as you desire to breathe, they will come to you. Let this dream of yours become your music, your game, your passion.
